While COVID-19 wreaks havoc in the lives of already food challenged children, seniors, veterans and families, North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) remains committed to closing the hunger gap in North Texas by helping provide access to nutritious food. 

In today's world of social distancing, with schools out for an extended period of time; employees having to work from home; and gyms shifting to online models, COVID-19 has dramatically changed the way in which we learn, work and work-out.

During this “Shelter in Place”, are you:

  • Missing social/community connections
  • Looking for motivation to work out
  • Wanting to help others who are impacted

Look no further.  Join the “StepUp4Hunger - 100k Steps Challenge” and help North Texas Food Bank feed the hungry while making a positive impact on your health.  Here are the details:

  • What:   StepUp4Hunger - 100k Steps Challenge!
  • When:  Saturday May 23 - Sunday May 31st, log in 100 thousand steps
  • Where: At home, neighborhood, backyard, anywhere you can follow social distancing norms as required by your community/county/city
  • How: Getting started is easy:
    1) Sign-Up: Donate a minimum of $100/- per family through this page
    2) Step-Up: Start walking and tracking using your phone/watch/Fitbit…  honor system

Funds go directly to North Texas Food Bank and will be acknowledged by them. This is set-up to be easy and transparent, with impact that can be huge!
